    Exactly what i've been looking for

    After a few seasons of mostly using HMG's 20 degree quilt for my spring skiing trips, I was lucky enough to be included in product testing for this sleeping bag.

    The quilt has been such an incredible piece of equipment and I will definitely continue to use it, but, there were definitely several trips I went on that I felt....uneasy....about my sleeping choice. Trips that included a storm in the middle of the trip or a 5 day trip that had 2 nights of 15 degree lows.

    It always worked out okay for me but it meant bringing extra puffy clothes to provide just a bit of extra margin of comfort. This bag solves those moments of uncertainty beautifully without a big weight/space penalty for packing.

    I toss and turn quite a bit while I sleep and this bag strikes the perfect balance for me of having space to move around without it feeling cavernous and cold in the bag. The length/hood is perfect for being able to retreat fully into the bag and cinch the hood down without it feeling claustrophobic inside.

    The side zipper is well designed to have plenty of room to open but does not run the full length of the bag, this helps prevent heat loss out of the bag but maintains the functionality of getting in/out of the bag easily.

    I'm excited for more trips with this bag!

    Delightful sleeping bag

    I was a lucky tester for nightly entombment with the Hyperlite Mummy Bag on a February Grand Canyon trip. The bag was warm, soft, packed small, weighed little, and was well-designed. I cocooned my damp, shivering carcass in the comfortable bag during a series of blustery, cold nights and slept like the dead. The bag was light and compact enough to hike up a few thousand feet for spike camping and then to rappel, downclimb, and swim with while canyoneering back to the river. I will continue to use this bag for winter and shoulder season expeditions when preservation against the cold is essential.
